Management and Expectations Survey 2017

Go to next section

MES2017, run by the Office for National Statistics and developed with ESCoE, collected information on two themes. These related to businesses’:

  • management practices such as the use of performance indicators, targets, employment decisions
  • current performance, and future expectations, about turnover, investment, employment and spending on resources

The survey was run in the summer of 2017 and collected information for Great Britain for the period 1 January to 31 December 2016. Firms who participated could benefit as the published statistics could be used as a benchmark to compare their business against the same, or across different, sectors.

Initial results from MES2017 can be found here.
